We believe that the pastoral care of children contributes greatly to their overall well being and also to their academic achievement.

At Boothroyd we have a pastoral unit with a sanctuary area where children can come to relax during lunchtimes.

Our team of Caring Companions is made up of a group of children in key stage two who support children on the playground at playtimes and lunchtimes to play games, be there to talk to or help in different ways.
