Design and Technology
At Boothroyd Primary Academy, we value Design and Technology as an inspiring, rigorous and practical subject. Using creativity and imagination, pupils are given the opportunity to design and make products that solve real and relevant problems, within a variety of contexts, considering their own and others’ needs, wants and values.
We aim to provide children with opportunities to work with a range of materials when planning and making, as well as allow access to engaging and well-resourced lessons. This in turn will develop children’s abilities and provoke their curiosity. Here at Boothroyd, we have key concepts that run through all aspects of our D&T curriculum:
